XRGuide Guide Program — Confidential Preview

    The XRGuide Guide Program

XRGuide is launching across platforms and we need the world's best explorers to help surface the experiences that deserve to be found. Welcome to the group & guide for XR Guides.

    The Program

    What is a Guide?

XRGuide's curatorial team is a global community of passionate explorers, academics, festival organizers, artists, and platform builders. Guides don't just find worlds — they shape what the world finds.

    Global Curators

Leading academies, university programs, festivals, theatres, museums, and immersive organizations — Guides are the experts in the room.

    Discovery First

Your job is to surface award-winning releases, emerging creators, and that one mind-bending experience no algorithm would ever find on its own.

    Ethical by Design

XRGuide is built on XR Guild best practices. Guides share that commitment — to accessibility, consent, and responsible immersive media.

    Festival Coverage

Attending Tribeca, Sundance, SXSW, Venice, or a local event? You're our eyes on the ground. Tell us what's coming before it's everywhere.

    Platform Ambassadors

XRGuide is launching on iOS, Android, WebXR, Quest, Vision Pro, and more. Guides help us understand what works — and what's missing — on each.

    Exchange, Not Extraction

Guides are not paid but participation earns real benefits: editorial features, event listings, and world showcases on XRGuide in exchange for curation work.

    Onboarding

    How to Become a Guide

Four steps from first contact to active contributor. Takes about 10 minutes to complete.

    1

    Join the Discord Server

All Guide coordination happens in our private Discord. This is where release updates, curation calls, and comms assets are shared first. Introduce yourself in #guides-intro with your name, where you're based, and the XR worlds or events you're most connected to.

    Read the Curation Guidelines

Before submitting any worlds, read the curation criteria pinned in #guides. XRGuide's editorial standard is high — we look for experiences with craft, intentionality, and value to the audience. Quantity does not beat quality here.

    View Curation Criteria below ↓
    3

    Submit Your First Curation

Use the #curation-submissions channel in Discord with the submission format: world name, platform, creator, link, and a 2–3 sentence note on why it belongs in the guide. Bonus: if you've been inside it, say so. Personal experience counts.

    Go to #curation-submissions →
    4

    Activate Your Guide Benefits

After your first approved curation, you're an active Guide. Post in #my-worlds-and-events to let us know about your own events, worlds, or festivals you'd like featured on XRGuide. Our editorial team will follow up directly.

    Community Posts

    General community introduction

Hey [SERVER NAME] — wanted to share something I've been involved with.

XRGuide just launched — it's a free, curated guide to the best VR, AR, and XR experiences across every major platform (Quest, Vision Pro, WebXR, PCVR, iOS, Android). Editorial curation, not algorithmic ranking. No ads in the listings.

Check it out at xrguide.app — would love to hear if there are worlds you think belong in the catalog.

    Creator community post

If you make XR experiences and want to be discovered by the people who actually program, fund, and write about this space — XRGuide is the place.

It's a free curated directory, editorially independent, built on XR Guild standards.

xrguide.app — there's also a curation community if you want to help surface the best work.

PH launch day post (after signal)

XRGuide is on Product Hunt today — it's the first curated guide to the best VR, AR, and XR experiences.

Would love your thoughts on what worlds should be added next.

    Roadmap

    Future Channels Strategy

XRGuide does not yet have a presence on most social platforms. We're starting tight (Discord + YouTube) and will expand only when each channel has a clear plan, owner, and content cadence. Here's the forward plan:

    ChannelStatusPlan
Twitter / XNot yet activatedReserve @XRGuide handle. Activate post-PH launch as a real-time discovery feed: festival finds, world spotlights, and curator reposts.
LinkedInNo company pageSet up XRGuide company page tied to Realitycraft for B2B reach (studios, museums, education). Activate alongside iOS/Android launch with creator-angle posts.
InstagramNot yet activatedReserve @xrguide handle. Phase in after launch — Reels of world walkthroughs from YouTube, repurposed. Visual-first only; no posts without strong imagery.
TikTok@XRGuider existsCross-post YouTube Shorts. Focus on 15–30s world reveals and 'have you seen this XR experience?' format. Drive traffic to xrguide.app + Discord.
Bluesky@xrguide.bsky.social existsMaintain as a low-effort mirror of XR community announcements. Strong fit with the indie/ethical-tech audience.
Threads / MastodonNot yet activatedDefer until after PH launch. Evaluate based on where the XR creator community actually congregates post-launch.

XRGuide comms kit — confidential, for Guide program participants. Links will be added when available. Contact evo@playable.agency with questions.

    What Guides Receive in Exchange

Guides are not paid — but their work is recognized and reciprocated. Active Guides receive editorial features for their events and worlds on XRGuide, early access to new platform features, co-promotion in our launch media, and direct connection to our network of creators, platform leads, and festival programmers. Think of it as being part of the guild that shapes the canon.

    Curation

    What We're Looking For

XRGuide is the curated guide to the best VR, AR, XR, immersive, and spatial media. Our standard is editorial, not algorithmic. Here's how to curate like a Guide.

    Worlds Worth Featuring

    • Award-winning or festival-recognized experiences
    • Emerging creators doing something genuinely new
    • Experiences you've been inside and can speak to firsthand
    • Spatial narratives, immersive art, educational/cultural XR
    • Events and worlds you discovered at a demo or festival
    • Platform-native gems — Quest-only, Vision Pro-only, WebXR-only
    • Worlds with craft, intention, and replay value

    What We Don't Feature

    • Free promotions for companies in exchange for benefit
    • Experiences you haven't personally vetted
    • Games and apps without meaningful immersive dimension
    • Content that would fail XR Guild ethical standards
    • Duplicate submissions already in the database
    • Unverified "coming soon" experiences without a real link or demo
    • Anything with undisclosed commercial interest

    Submission Format — Discord #curation-submissions

**World Name:** [Name of the experience]
**Creator / Studio:** [Who made it]
    **Platform(s):** [Quest 3 / Vision Pro / PCVR / WebXR / iOS / Android / Desktop]
**Link:** [URL or app store page]
    **Category:** [Art / Theatre / Education / Music / Social / Gaming / Narrative / Other]
**Have you been inside it?** [Yes / No / Demo only]
**Why it belongs in the guide:**
[2–3 sentences. Speak from experience. What makes it worth finding?]
**Event / Festival context:** [Optional — where you saw this, upcoming releases]

    Media & Comms

    Coordinated Launch Communication

When and how we communicate matters as much as what we say. Use the approved assets and timing below to amplify the XRGuide launch across your networks.

    Three Message Pillars

    Pillar 01

    Solved for Discovery

For the first time, there's a single curated guide to the best VR, AR, and XR experiences — across every platform, every format, every device.

    Pillar 02

    Built for Creators

XRGuide gives independent creators and studios visibility that no algorithm can deliver. If it's excellent, it belongs here — regardless of budget or backing.

    Pillar 03

    Ethical by Design

No ads in our editorial. No pay-to-play listings. No behavioral tracking. XRGuide is built on XR Guild principles — the guide you can actually trust.
