    Best VRChat Stargazing Worlds

A curated list of the calmest, most beautiful VRChat worlds for looking up — observatories, rooftops, moonscapes and zero-g space lounges. All free. Most Quest-friendly.

    How we picked these

We prioritized worlds that are stable, low-lag on Quest, visually quiet (no flashing lights or loud music by default), and have a working sky — either a high-detail skybox or a real-time star renderer. Every entry below is publicly listed in VRChat and free to enter.

How to launch a VRChat world

Open VRChat on Quest, PCVR, or desktop, search the world name in the Worlds tab, and "Go" into a public or friends-only instance. For private stargazing, choose Friends+ so randoms don't break the mood.

    Stargazing FAQ

What is the best VRChat world for stargazing?

The Great Pug's rooftop and Mountain Observatory are the two most-recommended starting points — both are social, free, and run on standalone Quest as well as PCVR.

Do I need a PCVR headset for VRChat stargazing worlds?

Most stargazing worlds run on Quest standalone, but the highest-fidelity skyboxes (real-star data, volumetric clouds) require PCVR. We note which is which in each entry.

    Are VRChat stargazing worlds free?

Yes. VRChat is free and every world listed here is free to enter — no tickets, no purchases.

Are these worlds safe for kids?

Stargazing worlds tend to be calm and non-violent, but VRChat is 13+ and public instances can include adult conversation. Use friends-only instances for younger users.

Can I stargaze in WebXR without VRChat?

Yes — browse the XRGuide WebXR catalog for browser-based planetariums and space experiences that run with no download.
